Website information

Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 28, 2026

This notice describes how information is handled when you visit clariantkorea.com or contact Clariant Korea about equipment, quotations, training or distributor cooperation.

Information you provide in an enquiry

Depending on the form you use, you may provide your name, company, email address, phone or WhatsApp number, country, business type and message. The website also records the enquiry source page, submission time, consent choices and IP address to support enquiry handling and site administration.

Submitted enquiries are stored in the website administration system and may be sent by email to the designated enquiry recipients. Providing contact details allows our team to respond to the request you submit.

How information is used

We use enquiry information to answer product questions, prepare quotations, discuss training or distribution requirements, manage follow-up and maintain the security and operation of the website. Avoid including medical records, payment-card details or other sensitive information in a general product enquiry.

Cookies, analytics and your privacy choices

Optional analytics and advertising are off by default for all visitors, including visitors in Europe, the United Kingdom and the United States. Browsing or scrolling does not give consent. You can accept all, reject optional tracking or choose purposes separately. You can continue browsing and submit an enquiry after refusing optional tracking.

Open cookie settings. Use Cookie settings or Your privacy choices in the footer at any time to change or withdraw your choice. Withdrawing stops future optional tracking; it does not undo processing that already occurred.

Essential storage

Essential functions include website security, the administrator login, enquiry form operation, protected video access and remembering your cookie choice. The first-party cookie ck_cookie_consent stores a signed preference and random consent receipt reference for 180 days. A deny-only fallback cookie, ck_cookie_optout, may also last up to 180 days if a preference cannot be saved. Neither is an advertising identifier. Protected video access may use a one-day cookie. Session storage remembers popup dismissal, helps prevent duplicate enquiry-success events and limits repeat security diagnostics during a browser session.

Analytics — optional

When Analytics is allowed, Matomo measures visits, referring pages, device/browser information and website interactions. Matomo is hosted on this website and is configured without analytics cookies. We still require your permission before loading its tracker. This is separate from the information you deliberately send in an enquiry.

Advertising and Google measurement — optional

When both Analytics and Advertising & Google measurement are allowed, the existing Google Tag Manager container loads Google Ads and Google Analytics, together with the site’s OKKI measurement and Hostinger Reach tools. Because Google Ads and Google Analytics are bundled in the existing container, these Google tools, OKKI and Reach stay off if either optional purpose is refused. Google may use identifiers such as _ga, _ga_* and _gcl_* for analytics and campaign attribution. These provider cookies have their own lifetimes and may be renewed by later visits; your permission on this website is reviewed after 180 days. Provider tools may also use similar browser storage.

These tools may process page visits, referrals, device and network information and campaign interactions. Google, OKKI and Hostinger process data under their respective service arrangements, potentially outside your country. OKKI’s script is served from tfile.xiaoman.cn. For details about Google’s processing, see How Google uses information from partner sites. Refusing optional tracking prevents these tools from loading here; accepting marketing cookies is not permission to send you marketing emails.

The custom Google Ads enquiry-success event contains a saved-status flag, form type and opaque event identifier. It does not include your name, email, phone number or message. A WhatsApp click measures opening a link; it does not establish that a conversation occurred.

Global Privacy Control and US privacy choices

We honour a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal received from your browser by keeping advertising and sharing for advertising off, even if you previously allowed them. The preference panel also includes “Do not sell or share my personal information”, which turns this category off. Analytics hosted here remains a separate choice. You can ask about applicable access, correction, deletion and other privacy rights using the contact below.

Choice records and withdrawal

We keep a minimal consent receipt for 180 days: a random receipt reference, policy version, choice time, chosen purposes, GPC status and the type of choice. The consent receipt does not contain your name, email, raw IP address, full browser identifier or browsing history. This helps demonstrate which permission was given or refused. Security rate limits use short-lived keyed IP hashes rather than raw IP addresses in the consent record.

On withdrawal, the page reloads with optional scripts blocked and removes accessible first-party identifiers matching the configured trackers where possible. Cookies or storage already held on a provider’s own domain cannot be deleted by this website; you can clear them in your browser. Turning JavaScript off prevents optional tracking here. Essential hosting and security logs are separate from optional analytics.

Service providers and external links

Information may be processed by the hosting, email, analytics and other technical services used to operate the website and respond to enquiries. The existing website fonts are hosted on this website. Opening WhatsApp, social media or other external links takes you to services with their own privacy practices.

Retention and information requests

Enquiries are kept in the website’s enquiry system and relevant business correspondence for handling and follow-up. If you want to ask about the information associated with your enquiry, request a correction or ask for deletion, contact us using the address below. Include enough information to identify the relevant enquiry, without sending unnecessary sensitive documents. We may need to verify the request and consider applicable record-keeping obligations before responding.
